God's desire to include humankind in his family was disrupted by Adam and subsequently by all humankind by
seeking life apart from God and thus we separated ourselves from Him.
Efforts to restore that relationship reflect our desire to earn God's favor. The Bible declares humanity's
inability to restore that connection. God freely yet painfully sent his Son to create a way back to Him by
way of Jesus' life, death and resurrection. (Titus 3:5-6)
